Proofing My Husband’s Book

I’m not doing much blogging currently as I’m trying to finish getting my husband’s ms ready for the publisher. I’m redoing the spacing, which takes a lot of time and doing what I can to make it right, then I’m sending it to a friend in New Jersey who is checking it for punctuation errors. When she gets that part done, she sends it back to me for further editing.

Hopefully it doesn’t take as long to complete as it’s taken so far. The publisher we hope to work with closes down for one month during the summer, so I hope to have it ready several weeks before that happens. My original intent was to have it completed by April, but that didn’t work out. This is taking longer than both of us has expected.

I’m hoping to have the major portion completed before the day is over as this is the first time I’ve had the whole day free, as I usually work one job or the other each day of the week. It’s nice to have a break.  Even though  I’m working on this project, it’s still like a day off to me.
